Neha Kakkar is one of India’s most popular and energetic playback singers and live performers. Born on June 6, 1988, in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, she grew up in a humble family and started performing at religious functions (jagrans) at the age of 4.
She first gained recognition as a contestant on Indian Idol Season 2 in 2006. Though she did not win, her powerful voice and stage presence caught the attention of the music industry. She later returned as a judge on Indian Idol for multiple seasons.
