Anuradha Paudwal

Anuradha Paudwal is an Indian playback and devotional singer known for her extensive contribution to Hindi film music, bhajans and spiritual music. Born on 27 October 1954 in Karwar, Karnataka, she began her playback singing career in the 1970s and went on to become one of the prominent female voices in Indian music.

Alongside her successful Bollywood playback career, Anuradha Paudwal became particularly associated with devotional music. Her recordings include Ganesh bhajans and aartis as well as devotional songs dedicated to Shiva, Durga, Krishna and other Hindu deities. Her devotional catalogue helped make her voice familiar to generations of listeners across India.
