XXXTENTACION, born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, was an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer known for his emotionally intense and stylistically diverse music.
Born on 23 January 1998 in Plantation, Florida, XXXTENTACION emerged from the SoundCloud music scene and became closely associated with the rise of emo rap and SoundCloud rap during the 2010s.
His catalogue includes widely recognised songs such as Look at Me!, Jocelyn Flores, SAD!, Moonlight, changes and Hope. His studio albums include 17, ?, Skins and Bad Vibes Forever.
XXXTentacion Music Career
XXXTENTACION began releasing music online in 2013 and developed an audience through SoundCloud. His early recordings combined elements of hip-hop with aggressive rap, lo-fi production and alternative musical influences.
His song Look at Me! became an important breakthrough and introduced him to a much larger mainstream audience. His debut studio album, 17, followed in August 2017 and reached No. 2 on the US Billboard 200.
