Vishal Dadlani

Vishal Dadlani is an Indian playback singer, music composer, songwriter and performer recognized for his energetic vocals and influential contributions to contemporary Bollywood music. Born on 28 June 1973 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, he developed his musical career through India’s independent rock scene before establishing himself in Hindi cinema. He is the lead vocalist of the Indian rock band Pentagram and one half of the successful composer duo Vishal–Shekhar, formed with musician Shekhar Ravjiani. Through his work in Bollywood, Vishal Dadlani has contributed to numerous popular film soundtracks, combining Indian musical influences with rock, electronic dance music and contemporary pop. His distinctive vocal delivery has become associated with high-energy Hindi film songs, including Malhari, Balam Pichkari, Swag Se Swagat and Dhoom Again. Vishal Dadlani began his professional music career in the 1990s as the frontman of Pentagram, an Indian rock band known for its alternative rock and electronic influences.
